Good news today. Bikram Yoga Alabang accepted my call for help and agreed to be a regimen partner for my #RoadToSub300.
As I’ve mentioned in my last post, I’ve done yoga in the past and I can say that yoga is an effective tool in weightloss.
CrossFitters also do yoga not just for weightloss but more for flexibility and that’s what I really need; flexibility.
I’ve spoken with Ginger Diaz (one of the owners of Bikram Yoga Alabang) and she is well aware of the physical requirements in CrossFit. I also told her that I want to be the first obese person – without a fitness/sport/martial art background – to be part of the CrossFit Asia Regionals in a few years and doing yoga will definitely help me in achieving my goal.
I initially opted to commit 2 yoga practices a week but she challenged me to do the 4×4 challenge. It is 4 practices a week for 4 weeks. This will happen on July and I plan on doing that. I am actually plotting my fitness schedule to be able to do both CrossFit and yoga every week; while still maintaining and doing my other activities.
