Here is a good workout to have with friends. The thing about having friends around is that they make workout less intense and seem shorter. That’s why group classes are a hit and most common in most gyms. But if you don’t have that much money to spend for group exercise, here are a few exercises that is pretty much easy to do at home and with friends — that means you can also do this while on vacation.
This workout requires teams of two (2); or at least just the two (2) of you. This workout is non-stop and you will see why.
This is more commonly called a partner workout or a partner WOD (workout of the day). While one does a routine, the other does another routine. One would be the “timer” while the other “kills” himself/herself.
With this, you will simply choose 3 workouts (Person A) and the other will do one (Person B). This is done in rotation so in the end, both get to benefit from the workout.
Person A: Burpees, Situps, Pushups, Jumping Jacks, Lunges (done 5 per leg then repeat), Air Squats, Plank Holds, Mountain Climbers.
Person B: 33/50/100 Jump Ropes, 200/400/800 meter run/jog, 200/500/1000 meter row.
In this partner WOD, Person A will do AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) while Person B finishes the jump rope, run, or row. Person A will not finish until Person B completes it. Then switch. The workout is over once Person A finishes the 3rd set or as they finish the timer part.
Try it and see how quickly the workout flies.
