A new week has started. Last week was… unforgettable…

Let me just throw in a short post before you start your week.

Let us start with a little bit of name tweaking. Have you noticed?

Anyway, last week was not the usual week you’d experience. Many things changed. A lot of lives lost — my heart goes out to those who had to endure what #GlandaPH brought on us. It may be difficult for some of us to do, but let us praised God for what happened still.

How do we pick up from something like that and move on? Let us take a look at what the Bible says:

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

— Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)

Everyday is a chance for us to make up for our mistakes the day/week/month/year before. Don’t allow your sorrow to get the best of you.

Whenever something “bad” happens to me, I don’t look at it as a punishment from God but more of a protection. It may seem hard to swallow. Example, how can you look at a death as a protection? Hear me out.

When my dad was diagnosed with Cancer last 2002, it shook the family financially. The countless trips to the TEAM of doctors to try and fight Cancer. More so on his last 4 months. The family, collectively, spent a really big amount and on March 11, 2008, dad went home to heaven. How do you look at that as a protection? From 2002 to 2008, the entire family had to learn to do things without dad initiating or doing it for us. My mom, my younger sister, and I had to learn to do things that only our dad knew how to do it.  We did not see him dying anytime soon at the time but it got us prepared. Now, looking back after his death, and we finally saw why God allowed dad to go and we can never be more happy. Sure we miss him tons, but we are more appreciative of the new skills we unlocked.

If you still cannot find a way to be thankful, try listing down 10 things to be thankful for. Let’s start with that.

Have an amazing week, everybody.

Don’t forget to pray from everyone who got severely affected by #GlendaPH #GLENDAmage.

#HenryPH, be nice.
